Obamacare –IRS finalizes the ‘individual mandate’ rules within the Affordable Care Act.

Cochrane & Company announces the acquisition of J. L. Von Arx and Associates, a Los Angeles, CA based Surplus Lines Wholesaler. 

Established in 1985, J. L. Von Arx is a family-owned surplus lines wholesaler providing insurance programs for Garage, Property And Casualty,  Transportation and other insurance products.  Following the transaction, the existing J. L. Von Arx employees will join Cochrane & Company and merge into Cochrane's Santa Ana, CA underwriting operation where they will continue to serve former Von Arx clients and access additional product offerings available through Cochrane & Company.
