Recruitment Ramps Up for All Risks, Ltd.'s University Program

Thursday, September 22, 2016

HUNT VALLEY, MD (September 16, 2016) – With the beginning of autumn quickly approaching, schools are now back in session and All Risks University (ARU) is actively engaged in recruiting for its 2017 winter and summer programs.  Forty-three students recently graduated from this summer’s ARU program, the company’s largest class yet, to pursue their sales career within All Risks’ thirty branch offices.  University classes consist of recent college graduates, junior military officers and sales professionals.  This year’s class was selected from fourteen schools across the country, all offering Risk Management and Insurance programs.

ARU training, a key component to the ARU program, is an intense six-week educational program that prepares its participants for a variety of production career paths available at All Risks, Ltd.  The topics discussed strengthen and encourage excellent underwriting, written and oral communications, interpersonal skills as well as marketing and sales skills.  In addition to classroom time, students must complete homework, capstone project work and participate in social events that build relationships with All Risks' carrier and retail agency partners.  All Risks’ experienced production managers challenge students with accounts that demand thoughtful and analytical skill application, and mentors provide counseling and insight to the fast-paced world of surplus and specialty lines, as the students continue their formal learning through the acquisition of industry designations and attendance at the NAPSLO (National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices) schools.

“The participants in these ARU classes truly are among the best and brightest students in the industry!  Our successful University program provides a solid foundation for new industry professionals to succeed in their long career.  In many cases, the relationships they form in the six-week program become the best friends they keep throughout their career.  All Risks is all about building relationships, internally and externally,” explains Sharon Gallagher, All Risks’ University and Intern Program Manager.
