I have an event planner who I have been writing 1 day event policies for over the last year. I am working on trying to quote an annual policy for all of the events. I just looked at a contract for an event and $5,000 in med pay is required. These policies typically exclude this. Is there a market out there whose event policy includes med pay?

Have you checked with Phly? I believe their policy would cover this. Other special event markets we've used in the past are RV Nuccio and USLI.

Most event policies include an option for $5k med pay. Probably depends on the type of event. If it's horseback riding, not so much. I've used F L Dean for many events - www.fdean.com

The thing is med pay is an antiquated cover that was once just there as a deterrent to claim/sue. the GL portion will cover the med pay in most instances.

Hi Jeffrey,

Thank you for using CompleteMarkets!

I'm very happy to let you know that I did a market search and was able to find several companies we work with that have markets for this, in addition to CK Specialty as Allen mentioned above.

K&K Insurance has multiple markets for special events and a wide range of coverages.

Please Click Here to fill out a short multi-submit contact form and be sure to attach any apps, loss runs or accords you have that can help them provide a speedy quote.

Do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions you have!

K and K might be able to accommodate this on annual policy and include the med pay. I guess just depends on the type of events as it does have to fit their guidelines. Good Luck!
