I was asked by a client: What does my credit have to do with my auto insurance rates?
I politely replied, your credit have everything to do with your auto insurance rates.
How you manage your money will eventually impact your driving habits.
What do I mean by that? If you manage your money well then you will most likely obey highway laws and therefore fewer tickets and accidents.
Someone that pays their bills on time will almost always want to obey traffic laws.
There are always exception to rule. Here are a few:
1) You have no credit because you pay everything in cash
2) Your credit is bad because you lost your Job
3) You are going through a divorce
Studies have shown that good credit drivers result in lower losses for the Insurance company
