It’s not easy to stay positive during a job search!

In fact it can be one of the most difficult things to do. When you begin searching for a job you feel positive, hopeful and confident. As time goes on you slowly start to lose that and begin to feel overwhelmed, stressed out and feel like giving up. Don’t!

If there is anything I can share with you about job searching, it’s that you don’t want to lose hope and give up. I understand it can be very frustrating and discouraging when you put in applications everywhere and don’t hear back from them. Who wouldn’t get discouraged?

I would like to share some beneficial tips that I came across and I think it will help you keep your head up during a job search.

Nancy Anderson says there are four ways to keep your head up when the job search drags on:

1. Build a support system
2. Keep learning
3. Take regular breaks
 4. Practice positive self-talk

I want to encourage all of you to continue to push forward. Take control of your job search and the career you want.

Make sure you follow up with your applications you put in, remain confident and show persistence!

Remember, this is a candidate’s market.
