R. David Bulen Insurance, CA, Affordable Care ActMarch 31st, is the deadline to sign up for the health insurance through the Affordable Care Act. The Affordable Care Act is President Obama’s universal health care bill which was enacted in 2010.  This health care act will allow for people who are underinsured or can’t afford health insurance, the ability and the means to finally afford decent health care. Among many things, the Affordable Health Care will hold more accountability to doctors and hospitals, lift the financial cap for people who are being told the health insurance they previously had is no longer going to cover them due to expense.  For those who have pre-existing conditions, they will find refuge in coverage.  For young adults who can’t afford health insurance while they are paying college tuition are able to stay on their parents health plan until they turn 26. However, the Affordable Health Act has been planked with controversy since October 1st, 2013 when the federal website crashed and burned within hours of opening up.  By December the major kinks seem to have been worked out and more than 4 million people have signed up for what some people dub, “Obamacare.” What about you?  Are you one of the 4 million+ who have signed up for the ACA or are you still dragging your feet? Call R. David Bulen Insurance today for more information.
