Home repairsEvery homeowner dreams about getting their house remodeled.  Getting that new kitchen with the latest appliances, adding their favorite jet tub to the bathroom, and having landscaping that would be the envy of the neighborhood.   The problem is, do you have the finances to pull remodeling jobs like this off?  Probably not, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take care of the home you have now. Here are some easy to do home improvement repairs that you should take care of now.
  • Replace your faucets.  Especially the leaky ones.  Faucets can be reasonably priced and they are easy to install.  You can repair that leak and dress up your bathroom or kitchen easily.
  • Check out your sump pump.  These handy things will keep your basement from flooding.  Don’t wait until the storm comes, check it out and make any necessary repairs before the storm.
  • Use caulk for your shower and tub.  Replacing tiles for your tub or shower can be very costly.  Get some caulk to repair any gaps to prevent mold from forming only costs a few bucks.
  • Update your smoke detector batteries and your light bulbs.  Buying the energy saving light bulbs will save you some money on your electric bill.
  • Don’t let your toilets run, fix them now.  Running water will run your water bill up.  Replacing the entire kit in the tank will cost you under $20 and save you money on your water bill in the long run.
As nice and wonderful it is to get a brand new house with a full remodel, it may not be feasible for some.  Doing these minor repairs is a great way to get your house fixed up without breaking the bank. Content provided by Transformer Marketing. Sources:
