A trip to the doctor’s office isn’t everyone’s cup of tea! As the patient you go to the doctor’s office, sign in, sit and wait to be seen. Most of the time the patient gets impatient because of the amount of time they are waiting and feelings of frustration and irritation develop because they just want to get in and get out.
Once the doctor comes it is usually a fast 5-10 minute appointment and the patient might begin to think it is pointless and the simplicity of the process shouldn’t take so long.
Well, as a patient they do not realize how complex the process actually is and although it seems like it only takes a few minutes to diagnose or prescribe a medical supply such as an oxygen tank or diabetes kit, there is more of a twist than they think.
It is the doctor’s responsibility to prescribe the right medicine and medical supplies that are being used on the patient such as a blood pressure cuff or stethoscope. While the patient relies completely on the doctor, they don’t see behind closed doors. The doctor is relying completely on your client to provide medical supplies that are not faulty and undamaged.
Your client can be held responsible if a patient or client was harmed due to the medical supply, or a patient fell due to an unstable handicapped bar in the bathroom at the doctor’s office or hospital, your client is responsible not the facility or doctor’s office.
