I have a log cabin in the woods, PC 9, wildfire concerns, and on leased Forest Service land. 20 year lease. Scottsdale has chosen to non-renew because on wildfire score. The cabin has received a metal roof, owners have cleaned around the structure and FS has removed trees of concern. Anybody got ideas? I'm striking out everywhere.

Every state is different, so not sure. We've used Burns/Wilcox in AZ. I guess the only option is to contact every general agent that you know of. RPS, Burns, Appalachian Underwriters, AmWins, etc.

This problem is going to get worse. I've been telling my clients they really need to be aware that they will potentially have to self-insure their properties in the future. I personally have a cabin that was barely missed by a recent fire in AZ (about 1/2 mile away).

Good Luck.
