Ask Your Peers Need Commercial Auto for Street Legal Golf Cart (Closed)

I need a market for a street legal golf cart our non-profit insured is purchasing. Everyone is declining the auto due to transportation of residents.
We have a NICO quote however they are unwilling to add NOA or the Golf Cart. Progressive won't write Golf Carts with any commercial use.

Worst case scenario contact Prime Insurance, they'll write it but the premium will probably be pretty high.

Thank you - I did actually try Prime and they were high. $8-10k per Unit.

Prime will be non-admitted and almost all states will not accept non-admitted paper for primary commercial auto. Usually the BMV is the one with the issue since they have a list of admitted carriers who they will accept and they will not be on it, so they will not meet the financial responsibility requirements.

You would be better to try and do it through your state assigned risk plan.

(PS, remember looking at one of their commercial auto policy forms, and it was claims made with a sunset clause!!!)

Have you tried Foremost? I'd also suggest contacting an MGA such as Allrisks & Burns & Wilcox to see if they have any options.
