Once you have a real life claim, there is a crisis line that is accessible from around the world.
You may need to contract through their broker partners, but I can assure you that there are only a handful.
Final Note:
As you are probably aware, AIG's routes are from Asia (Late 1800's).
Their presence, influence and ability to handle insurance on a global scale is inherent for this company.
