Hello all! I have a client that is being canceled mid-term due to the named insured obtaining his CDL. Current carrier is canceling due to "not meeting underwriting requirements". He has been in business for 6 years, obtained CDL now to drive his service truck 33,000 GVW to work on his trucks that break down. Doesn't drive the dump trucks just his service truck. Need replacement coverage!

So far none of my brokers want him cause of the newly obtained CDL. Current carrier is NICO, quoted Progressive premium is over $10,000 more, I have a extremely upset client! AmWins, Interstate and RPS all declined.

Oh wow! Have you tried Titan/Victoria for the auto like John suggested? They may be just as expensive as Progressive or even more. May be worth a try though.

You could call JM Wilson and ask them. It is easy to sign up with a new broker if you need to.

I have tried USG on other stuff yell they will look at stuff in maybe 2 weeks. They wont the business but no big hurry.
I know Jennifer she is the marketing rep you would need to talk to a lady in Florida on this risk.

Try Erie since its a service truck. if he has a good MVR, they may take him. rates are excellent.
