Red, What I am looking to accomplish is having multiple P&C carriers to work with and use electronic app and not have to sit in an office all day. If I can submit an app for a client while im on the road somewhere, it dosen't tie me down to an office and I can communicate with the client via phone to take the app. I do too many things to sit still, my main portfolio consists of Life Accident Disability Blue Cross as well as Voluntary Worksite Benefits with larger businesses, and I do enrollment work for other companies. I need some P&C carriers because it's a requirement as part of a new working relationship with a local Real Estate Agency with 100 active agents.
I lot of larger life ins carriers now allow for electronic applications when speaking to a prospect on the phone. Some of those carriers allow for whats called drop ticket, Fidelity is one that comes to mind. You simple take the prospects basic info on your computer app select a button that says drop ticket to send the info to what ever carrier you find with the best rate and send it off. They call the the prospect fill the app do all the underwriting and arrange for paramed if needed and thats it.
