Looking for a market for a Livestock Hauler, my client transports horses to and form horse shows, farms etc. He doesn't sell them or train them, he is only responsible for transporting them for his customers. What MGA can write this risk?

I can help out with GL. Auto Liability may be something we can quote. How many power units do you have? Feel free to give me a call.

Thanks,

Hi James,

Happy Wednesday and thank you for using CompleteMarkets.

I did a market search and am pleased to let you know that we may have a company that can help you with this risk, Cochrane & Company has a Trucking Insurance company that does have livestock haulers as an eligible target class.

Here is what they require:
1. Loss information for current and prior
2. Complete VIN on all power units
3. Complete drivers list
4. All drivers must have acceptable MVRs

Please click here to send them over a submission and include the required information above.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Hi James,

I can offer you a PEO solution if they are in need of Workers' Comp. SouthEast offers Comp and Payroll Service on a "Pay as you go basis", No contract. No end of year audits or renewals. A-Rated Carrier right here in house.

Min premium for NM Trucker for short haul is 30k, long haul 40k. Would they hit this?

Hang on... this is easier than you are making it sound... Just get a commercial auto policy, he will need a dot filing as he is hauling for others... yes even with a 3,500 dully truck and trailer.... and most importantly he needs cargo coverage. (ie... Hartford Livestock mortality policy for the horses) what is the value of the horses and how many at a time... what is the maximum exposure should he get into an at fault accident and all the horses in his trailer die... he owes all those horse owners for their horses....

So simply... progressive commercial auto and Hartford livestock mortality and I think that may do it... make sure to read the agreements...

That's really it...
