Ask Your Peers  Owner/Operator Dump Truck Coverage 

I have a prospect who owns and operates one dump truck that hauls dirt and asphalt. They have been in business for 6 months. They were with Progressive, but indicated they were told they are no longer taking risks with less than 12 months in business. Anyone that will write just one truck?

National indemnity company (admitted)---try your MGA.

Check with National Indemnity, they should have no problem writing this type of risk. You can gain access to them through Burns & Wilcox or go through Pacific Gateway Insurance Agency. Scottsdale Insurance may have an appetite for this risk as well.

If he was with Progressive the rate may shock him a bit with National Indemnity however the proof of prior and yrs experience may help.

National Casualty Co has an appetite for commercial transportation risks including auto liability for risks that transport dirt, sand and gravel haulers. This is not the same as National Indemnity Co...you can access National Casualty perhaps through RPS. Good luck!
