Good Evening Everyone,
We have a client who is a concrete contractor in the state of Florida. He is going to start working with a GC/Developer under 2 separate contracts. 1st contract is a regular subcontractor agreement for concrete work at their various projects. 2nd contract is a labor-only contract where the client will be giving 4-5 employees to the GC for a specific project (4-5 months) because of the employees' expertise in that type of work. Since this is to be a labor-only contract the GC is requesting an Alternate Employer Agreement endorsement from the client's worker's compensation policy to cover them on this contract. Client is currently covered by policy but current carrier will not give endorsement. Total payroll for company will be around $800,000 once projects are underway (currently $200,000). Has anyone else encountered a similar situation, and if so, how were you able to place it? any carriers willing to cover this? any other options to provide the requested coverage/protection to the GC? Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.
