Ask Your Peers Who owns Fireside Commercial Life Insurance? (Closed)

I have a friend who has a whole life policy on her adult kids. She has been trying to see what she needs do to give them ownership. Two of the policies are Fireside Commercial Life Insurance. She can't find any info on who bought them out (if anyone) or if they went under. Anyone have any intel?

A quick Google search seems to indicate that Fireside was placed in rehabilitation by the Louisiana Insurance Dept. back in the early to mid-90's. I would contact the folks in Louisiana to find out what happened to the company, and whether the policies were assumed by another company.

However, @Chelsea - you could submit a lost policy request at this Louisiana DOI web page - http://www.ldi.louisiana.gov/consumers/insurance-type/life-annuities/life-insurance-policy-search
