warehouse endorsement states " THIS POLICY IS HEREBY EXTENDED TO COVER GOODS...WHILE TEMPORARILY DETAINED IN WAREHOUSES APPROVED BY ASSURERS..." the question boils down to how one defines "TEMPORARILY DETAINED" and if that is a suitable replacement to a commercial property policy ??

Hi Moshe!

I'm sorry we were not able to find someone to answer this question last week.

I did some more searches and I may have found two other companies that you could reach out to and see if they would be able to help answer your question.

AmWINS Program Underwriters - It looks like they offer Warehouse Insurance, You can find their contact information Here.

Paul Hanson Partners - has a Mover's Choice Insurance Program, and they may be able to help as well. Here is their contact information.

I am hoping one of them, or another agent in the community can help you. Please let me know if there is anything else I could help with.

Moshe,
Sounds like a Warehouse Legal Liability policy.
If you are looking to cover your owned Business Personal Property, you would need a Commercial Package or BOP policy.
For your customer's goods, you will need to find a market that will write Warehouse legal Liability coverage and General Liability.

SOME, not all, BOP's and Package policies will be able to add the Warehouse coverages on the same policy.

Hope this helps.

Moshe,

Don't see any coverage for the warehouse itself in your policy language, so no coverage extended to the structure. Looks as if it intends to cover temporary storage of goods, and that the goods themselves (not the building) would be extended coverage. I'm assuming that the goods themselves are covered in a CPP or BOP (as the previous respondent noted) and that the "location" is what is being endorsed, not the property coverage.

Good luck!
