You may try getting a quote from Commonwealth Underwriters, Ltd., www.commund.com, phone 804-359-4568. Good luck.

Hi Lynn!

Could I get some more information on what type of Insurance you are looking for. Is it Homeowners, Home Builders or Home Furnishing?
Once I know a little bit more about the risk, I can see if we have any companies that can help you.

Thank you!

I know you can get a HO8 with Universal Property and Casualty as it excludes water damage assuming UW criteria is same as Florida

Also you can get it with Geovera as they include water and can get that through E and S brokers like Appalachian Underwriters.

Katrina:

We are looking for an HO-3 product for this type of risk. Either for a detached dwelling or a townhome.

Thank you for that extra information! It looks like J.M. Wilson offers Homeowners Insurance that covers HO-3. I was taking a look at their storefront and it looks like they may be able to help you. I would suggest reaching out to them, you can even request a quote directly from their Homeowners Insurance product page Here.

Any carrier or underwriter that would write a property policy on a structure that has polybutylene would just be stupid. That is completely against the principal of insurance. There WILL be a pipe burst and it WILL cause damage. That's not insurance.
