I am in search of a company who will write WC for a small municipality that includes firefighters, currently with SWIF. Also would consider splitting and only covering the municipality and keeping the firefighters with SWIF.

Hi Kimberly,

If you split out the firefighters then we would be able to assist. Please send the submission to [email protected].

Thank you,

Todd.

Since you're across the state from me :-). I would start by calling Laurie Faragher @ P&G Brokers, (610) 372-1533, they have access to AmeriHealth/Companion Insurance, which I believe still does the firemen. Also, Jerry Wallick @ Excaliber Insurance Management does monoline comp, but you would have to check about the firemen. His number is (570) 961-5105. Otherwise, there are some trusts such as Penn Prime & HA Thompson and MRM Trust. I do not think Markel does the WC in PA, neither does AMTrust. If you can package it, try Selective and EMC.

Thanks, John, I did not know that. Every time I request a quote, it is rejected, whether a municipality or a school.

Hi Kimberly!

I hope you are having a great day! I was doing some research into what you are looking for and I did not have any luck finding anyone that writes Workers Compensation for Municipality.

I am really happy to see these suggestions from Scott, John and Todd. It looks like Todd may be able to help you with this risk.

Good Luck!

Hi Kim,
You can try MRM Trust. They can write municipal employees. They will not write the firefighter portion. We access MRM Trust throught The HDH Group in Pittsburgh. 800-434-7760.

Also, I recently received an e-mail from K & K. It said that K & K will now write A D & D for firefighters. Their phone number is 800-637-4757.

Hope this helps.
