Has any one else noticed the cost of the leads keep going up. Think I bought 15 last year and most were around $5 a piece. Now they sent one yesterday at $17 and resent it today for $7 because no one will take it. I'm not paying $17 for a renters policy when the minimum premium is $100 I would loose money

The last one I purchased was either a bogie or something similar. I asked for a refund since the contact's number was no good and no response to the email address and was told it would be "investigated" before I could get a refund (that was about 4 months ago with no response since). I'm just being VERY careful about purchases, but I agree that the pricing should be fair.

Good Morning John!

First, thank you for using CompleteMarkets and providing us some feedback on our lead prices. We understand not every lead is going to be priced perfectly, which is why we are diligently working on fine tuning our lead platform every day. The system is designed to price the lead based off the information we gather from the consumer about their business and the demand of the lead. Our leads are dynamically priced using an algorithm that, among other factors, takes prior demand into consideration. This means sometimes it will get it wrong, and over price a lead. I agree, a Renters Insurance lead shouldn’t have been priced at $17. We will continue to improve our algorithm and listen to important feedback from our users, like yourself.

Randall – I apologize that no one from our team got back to you. I’ve looked into your refund request, but I could not find any request sent to Customer Support. I would be happy to look into this myself. If you could email me a little more information about the lead you purchased, I will investigate further. You can reach me at [email protected]

Thank you both for being members of CompleteMarkets. We really appreciate your feedback.

Thank you,
Erin

I want buy anymore until the pricing comes down. They started out cheap and I guess the company wanted more money and decided to raise the price or change the algorithm. Last year I got a electrical contractor for $7 now they want $27 for it. Na. I saw someone posted a while back about another company agents could join and talk and get leads. Anyone know of this company

The first leads I purchased through the site were all less than $5 each, and were first-runs, not leftovers. Some were as low as 99 cents! The hit ratio for "good leads" was okay, but not great - but because the price was so low it was still profitable on my end. With the price of the leads the way they are now, with pretty much nothing under $10 (even small biz), and the large number of "dead" leads that I end up paying for, it is completely not profitable anymore. I don't even get leads into my mailbox much anymore. I guess because I haven't bought any in a while.

I remember the .99 ones. I can eat that but not eating $20 on each one. I get about 5 leads a week but none that are big accounts. Usually something you have to broker out which means less commission and more work. I just clicked on the $17 one from yesterday no one still has took it. Looks bad on complete markets when people ask for quotes and no one calls the client about getting them one.

I agree on both issues... I had totally a bogus lead and although I pursued it and management did get back to me, it made no difference. The $$ was not the issue, but rather that I was made to pay for a flatly bogus lead (the contact at first hung up and then refused to answer at all).

As far as pricing goes, yes they are going up. I will pay for a quality lead but they seem unable to vett the leads and give you something worth paying for. Not easy..

The lease for renters that started this conversation was 2nd day lead this morning for $7. They just relisted it as new for $12.79. Funny how them computers work.

I guess I don't understand how it works. I always see the commercial leads, but it says that like 237 agents are working on the same lead? So after you decide to accept the lead, does it then become "unreachable" for other agents?

Folks why the surprise? It is a business for profit. Most likely have reached a potential distribution benchmark and now its time to see what will be eaten!!!!! Keep buying at these prices and the prices will continue to rise until a brilliant grad from Worton comes in and indicates that the distribution potential has evaporated.
