Property & Casualty Landlord Condo with Out of State Ownership

I Have someone who lives in Kentucky but owns a condo in Michigan that she rents out. Does anyone know of a company that will insure this condo? All of my companies are having an issue with out of state owner or renting out a condo.

I'm not licensed in Michigan but wouldn't think this would be that difficult. An HO 6 policy with unit owner rental to others coverage. I do it all the time here in Texas. Most of the national carriers should be able to handle this.

Could it be the location of the condo, i.e. a bad part of Detroit?
