Demolition Contractors

Amwins Program Underwriters' Demolition Contractors insurance program provides general liability, auto, pollution, and excess coverage for wrecking and/or salvage operations in most states.

Coverages:

  • General Liability
  • Automobile - Pollution - Excess

Limits:

  • GL - $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 General Aggregate
  • Auto - $1,000,000 CSL

Minimum Premium: $10,000 General Liability

Requirements: At least 75% of GL receipts must come from demolition-related activities

Other allowable operations (up to 25% of GL receipts):

  • Excavation
  • Grading of land
  • Recycling of construction debris

Ineligible Operations:

  • No demolition contractors where more than 25% of demolition operations are subbed out to others
  • Wrecking ball and/or blasting performed by the insured

Availability: All states except: AK, HI 

Carrier:

  • AM Best 'A' rated carrier
  • Non-Admitted paper for GL; Admitted for all other lines
