Why Work With American Specialty

As a Managing General Underwriter with deep motorsports expertise, American Specialty combines program-focused underwriting with full in-house service. Underwriting, claims handling, policy administration and risk management are managed internally to give you faster responses, consistent decisioning and clear placement guidance.

You can place accounts ranging from regional race teams with multiple vehicles and part-time drivers to driving schools that operate at several tracks during a season. Event organizers and sanctioning bodies also fit well when exposures are clearly defined and operations are managed with formal procedures.

AGENCY LICENSING

Licensing
Each state’s regulatory department requires licensing for any broker soliciting coverage within that state. Failure to maintain proper licensing status can result in penalties not only to the broker, but also to the insurer. Therefore, in addition to the completed Broker Agreement, we require that you provide the following:

1.      A copy of your resident license and, if applicable, non-resident licenses for each state in which you have an account insured with our program.

2.      A copy of your agency’s corporate license issued by your state's Department of Insurance.
