Why Work With American Specialty

American Specialty Insurance & Risk Services is a Managing General Underwriter focused on sports, entertainment, and event-related risk. Through FastCov.com they provide an online platform that lets agents rapidly quote, bind, and issue policies and certificates—helpful when venue requirements require immediate proof of insurance.

The program’s strengths are speed, admitted paper, and a streamlined experience for short-term vendors and exhibitors. It is intended to handle the typical exposures of event-based sellers: slip-and-fall, product liability (where available), and property in transit (via Inland Marine options).

Typical Account Examples

  • You have a client who sells handmade jewelry and crafts at weekend street fairs across several states — the program can provide product liability and GL for scheduled events with quick certificates for each venue.
  • You place a seasonal food concessionaire who operates at county and state fairs — the program offers short-term GL with admitted carriers and instant COIs so the vendor can comply with booth insurance requirements.

AGENCY LICENSING

Licensing
Each state’s regulatory department requires licensing for any broker soliciting coverage within that state. Failure to maintain proper licensing status can result in penalties not only to the broker, but also to the insurer. Therefore, in addition to the completed Broker Agreement, we require that you provide the following:

1.      A copy of your resident license and, if applicable, non-resident licenses for each state in which you have an account insured with our program.

2.      A copy of your agency’s corporate license issued by your state's Department of Insurance.
