Weather Insurance for Film and Television Commercial Shoots

Advertising agencies and production companies use Weather Insurance to mitigate the costs for weather-related delays on commercial shoots.  Weather delays can cause shoot expenses to add up quickly.

Perhaps you need 8 of the 12 daylight hours to be rain free in order to complete your commercial shoot. Or maybe you need to shoot on one particular day before the talent is scheduled to be elsewhere. BUA’s ShowDown® Weather Insurance can’t change the weather, but it can eliminate the negative financial impact caused by the weather.

The unique feature of Weather Insurance is that you do not have to prove you were harmed in order to collect a claim. If the insured criteria is met, you collect. It’s as simple as that.

For example, say you buy a Weather Insurance policy to cover 8 of 12 rain-free hours for a $100,000 commercial shoot. If you only get 7 rain-free hours, you would still collect the $100,000 policy limit, EVEN IF THE SHOOT IS COMPLETED.
