Ideal Accounts and Eligible Professions

This program is best for solo practitioners and small to mid-sized firms in the accounting and financial services space. Eligible professions include:
  • Bookkeepers
  • Certified Public Accountants (CPAs)
  • Financial Preparers
  • Management Accountants
  • Risk Advisory Accountants
  • Taxation Accountants

Coverage Highlights and Advantages

This program includes core coverages designed for accounting professionals:
  • General Liability: $100,000 for damage to premises rented
  • Business Owner’s Policy (BOP): $100,000 for damage to premises rented
  • Professional Liability: Includes third-party discrimination coverage with a $100,000 limit (available for accountant policies only)

*BOP coverage is not available in the following states: AK, AL, AR, DE, FL, HI, ID, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MS, MT, NE, ND, NH, NM, NV, OK, OR, RI, SC, SD, TN, UT, VA, VT, WA, WV, WY.

Coverage is offered on an admitted basis in select states, giving insureds the option of regulated, admitted paper where available.

Underwriting Notes

We target low- to moderate-risk accounting exposures with clean loss histories. This program is not intended for firms that perform high-risk financial services such as investment advising, SEC-level auditing, or other high-exposure work. Good examples of fit:
  • A small CPA firm that provides tax preparation and bookkeeping for local businesses
  • An independent bookkeeper who contracts with multiple small clients
