Our Shuttle Van insurance program is designed for operators shuttling employees to and from their work establishment. The program is available in all states except HI, MA, NJ, NY, PA and RI.

Large Taxi Fleets (minimum $25K deductible)
Mixed Fleets are allowed; however, van or larger units should not make up more than 50% of the fleet.
Excluded Classes
Van only
Fleets of Independent Operators whose only common denominator is a dispatcher
Seasonal operations with large fluctuations in fleet size and the hiring of new personnel
Black Car operations
Special needs operations which are limited to only this type of operation
All vehicles associated with emergency or non-emergency medical transportation
New Ventures: While these are not out target risks, we will write them but the vehicle average fleet age cannot be older than 6 years.
Equipment: The preferred age of equipment is 3 years or newer. Vehicles between 3 and 5 years are acceptable. Equipment over 5 years of age must provide vehicle inspections and photographs prior to binding. No limousine or luxury sedans over 6 years of age are acceptable unless it can be shown the vehicle is a “classic” car with acceptable mechanical inspections.
Independent Contractors: The use of independent contractors and their equipment is acceptable; however, the contractor’s:
1. Equipment must be subject to the same requirements as an owned vehicle.
2. Must be hired on a long-term basis.
3. Operate exclusively for the account.
The insured must maintain driver files, logs and all other data no differently than for employees. Vehicle maintenance must be in conformance with the insured’s procedures and there should be a contract reflecting the conditions.
