Alaska fly-in fishing and hunting lodges, Dude Ranches, Southern hunting plantations, Ozark fishing resorts, Texas big game and bird shooting preserves, upland hunting lodges in our Nation's Heartland and Rocky Mountain fishing and hunting lodges, all fit this category. There will be use of boats to navigate the lakes and rivers, horses to ride, firearms to hunt with and strong legs to hike trails and wade streams. Fishing gear and the use of guns are the order of the day! Dogs are often an integral part of the operation and there may be a kennel that includes breeding and training. For some lodges, the only way to reach the property is by boat or airplane. Property values can be substantial, of frame construction and unprotected.

 

Transportation of guests comes in all forms: modified 4-wheel drive vehicles, ATV's, snowmobiles, snowshoes, inflatable rafts, canoes, dories, power boats, horse drawn wagons, and saddle animals.

Like all of our programs, we have tremendous property insurance capacity for frame, unprotected, property. The general liability exposure revolves around tough backcountry terrain, where guests are exposed to the elements and Mother Nature. Hunting and fishing also exposes the guests to guns and waterborne activities. This program is designed to underwrite all of the needs of the hunting and fishing lodges, including automobile, watercraft, inland marine and crime.
