Allied American Underwriters Announces Acquisition

AAU: Allied American Underwriters is pleased to announce the acquisition of U.S. Assure’s Commercial Storage Tank book of business available through ACE, in addition to renewal rights and new business for their Religious Institutions, Educational Institutions, and Human Services products available through GuideOne. With this acquisition, AAU is opening a new office in Jacksonville, Florida.

 

Leading the new office is Michelle Huitt, Production Manager, who comes to AAU from U.S. Assure where she acted as Underwriting Manager. Team members Marie Maxwell and Tiffany Batten, Producer/Brokers, will also be joining AAU from U.S. Assure where they served as underwriters. The Jacksonville branch will be assisted by a support team based in AAU’s flagship office in Canonsburg, PA.

 

AAU’s newly acquired Commercial Storage Tanks Program provides solutions developed with a focus on providing broad coverage. Policies can be written on an admitted or non-admitted basis and can include third-party bodily injury, property damage claims, and corrective action costs resulting from incidents involving scheduled storage tanks.

 

The tanks program is one of ACE’s Premises Pollution Products. Coverage under these products can include potential environmental losses for work performed by or on behalf of the Named Insured, sudden and accidental pollution events, mold coverage on claims made or occurrence triggers, and more. Minimum premiums start at $350. Agents have the ability to tailor coverage, including pollution-related blanket non-owned disposal site coverage and project excess requirements. The program offers limits up to $5 million and deductibles starting at $5,000.

  

AAU has also acquired a Churches and Religious Institutions Program that offers a comprehensive policy and risk management resources tailored for religious and educational institutions. Policies are written on an admitted basis nationwide, with minimum premiums starting at $1,000. The program offers limits up to $5 million for general liability, up to $10 million for umbrella, and no maximum on property limits.

 

AAU’s newly acquired Human Services Program serves over 300 classes of business, which can include Humane Societies, Shelters & Rescues, Botanic Gardens & Horticultural Services, Pregnancy Centers, Museums, Food Banks & Distribution, and more. Coverages available through this program can include Property, General Liability, and add-ons such as Crime Coverage, Computer Fraud Coverage, Inland Marine Coverage, Limited Flood Coverage, and Green Upgrade Coverage.
