Does anyone know of a good market for a tree service in NJ? With Hartford right now, but they were hit with a 33% increase on renewal. 8 units, with one having a crane attached.

Would like to go direct rather than co-brokering, so looking for a program or wholesaler: Have already sent to ARI, Lancer, Plaza/GMI, and Carolina Casualty.

Not sure if NIP still has LandPro / TreePro anymore, and if they do where they are going with the auto. Not a wholesaler or program, but Peerles(Lib. Mutual and Palisades-Plymouth Rock might be willing to write the coverage depending on the specific vehicles.

try philadelphia indemnity? www.phly.com? also you should try NJM on the comm auto - they will write the risk and just place the attached equipment on an inland form scheduled. we have railroad contractors with lots of equipment and cranes attached, its cheaper and mitigates the total loss impact to a single policy. good luck!

It's not a wholesaler or a program, but if you could access Preferred Mutual, I would suggest them. We haven't found anyone that beats their monoline auto rates and they have a very broad appetite as far as classes go. I don't think that the crane would be a problem, although I'm not 100% sure. As far as NIP goes (as mentioned above), LandPro/TreePro is still around - www.nipgroup.com/programs/landpro-treepro - I get marketing e-mails from them regularly.

I am still waiting on quotes. The carriers you suggested were not able to help and do not do that line of business. Some of the others who replied are trying to help though.
