Hello everyone, a fellow agent told me that you have to have a written log of every policy you write in your agency, is this true?

It is not true. Unless you are binding the risk, you do not need a binder book. Years ago the carriers allowed you to bind just by virtue of providing a binder. They no longer do this. You have to enter every account in a computer system belonging to the carrier. They give you a policy /binder number. SO they bound the risk not you.

This also has been confirmed by both FAIA(state association) and THE FDOI.
