Hello everyone, I have a client that grows palm trees in Pompano Beach, Fl, $20,000 in inventory, they are grown in pots in Pompano Beach and then moved up to Indiantown, Fl and put into the ground to grow taller and then sold, we are looking for a market that will cover the trees on an all peril basis with a reporting form, as the trees grow the value increases. Anybody know of a market that will write this?

Hi Larry,

Thank you for using CompleteMarkets!

It looks like we do not have any direct relationships that could help with this particular risk, but we are confident that the agent community will step up and help you find the right market for your client.

Thank you

Larry,
You might want to try NIP Group. They have a GrowPro program which insures nurseries, garden centers, etc. and I believe they write in Florida. Here's their website: www.nipgroup.com

Good Luck!

Larry,
You'll need crop insurance for this risk. Farm Credit writes crop insurance or this agency is well known in Fl and specializes in crop insurance. http://www.stallingscrop.com/

It's a specialized coverage and although we insure nurseries and landscapers, we leave the crop insurance to the folks that specialize in it. It's a different animal than normal P&C coverage.
