I have a prospect that needs insurance for his yacht. It was purchased in 2012 and I have the survey from the purchase. It was docked in a marina during Hurricane Sandy. There was a $30,000 claim where the dock that the boat was attached to moved. According to the owner, the majority of the claim was the removal, inspection, and re launch of the vessel. The actual repairs were minimal. I have current photos of the boat in its current marina. Ultimately, I would like to avoid him laying out the money for a survey. He is willing to do so if it is absolutely necessary. The boat is available for inspection if any companies would do this. The photos show a very well maintained boat.
