Looking to find a market for an assembler of electronic parts. This manufacturer produces heavy duty electonic controls for automotive lighting, electric windows, ignition and starting. NO brakes, throttle or cruise control parts. The controls are for street rods and dragsters made of heavy duty blocks with sturdy components and contacts rather than the light-weight parts in today's autos. Need also property as well as products. Most of the usual players won't play...previously with RSUI but they are leaving the marketplace. ANy ideas? Thanks Randall Jones

I'm looking for an agent in Florida that can write a one man shop work comp "ghost" policy. I write several of these in AZ for about $1k min prem through NCCI assigned risk. If you can do this, you may have the ability to write some GL/Auto personal lines in the future. I'm looking for an independent agent that I can refer the guy to. Preferably someone that understands the pest control business as it is somewhat specialized. Thanks!!

I have an auto hauler with a tractor/trailer and a pick-up/trailer currently with National Indemnity and he's being non-renewed for no apparent reason. After going round and round with them we're now searching for a new market. There's no losses on the acct and is currently paying about $27k/yr for just the auto policy. I've tried quoting with Progressive and they're declining to offer terms due to info on the Safer report which he's already corrected. I've already contacted Maxim Brokerage regarding Canal Insurance, Progressive, NTSG, and Great West, all which have declined to offer terms. If anyone has a suggestion on who I can try next that would be greatly appreciated, I have 47 days until the policy expires and I'd like to secure a quote ASAP. Thank you!

Hi Everyone, I have a client who is transports mobile homes around a 100 mile radius. I need a market that will cover the mobile home being transported in addition to the liability and commercial auto for the truck carrying the mobile home. I would prefer a market that has A rated carriers but am not opposed to B rated carriers.

Remember the days of paper files and 90 page policies? Technology may have saved our backs from stooping & bending and even prevented those irritating paper cuts, but has it solved the problem of getting that 90 page policy from your desk to your client? “Email it!” you say? That’s not a bad idea. But is it the best one? Convenience says yes, security says maybe and server limitations say - not so quick! As a broker, many times I would receive a call from an underwriter asking if I knew why my email told his email that a file could not be received by my server. My answer – “Wha?” When relying on email alone, situations like this can be problematic. With paper mail becoming less and less desirable and logistically more cumbersome, one solution may be having multiple solutions. What is your agency doing to ensure the successful retrieval of your insurances documents? How do you get those documents out to your clients? As we look into different methods of delivery, consideration of our brokers needs and wants is first and foremost! Your thoughts and ideas are greatly appreciated.
