Has anyone here had any issues with using 3rd party marketing companies such as Constant Contact or Signeos? I recently read an article in Rough Notes discussing the pro’s and con’s but wondered if any of the agents here have any experience with it? Hi All, I'm coming to you in hopes of gaining some insights into the CIC and CPCU designations, and if there are any online options for earning these credentials (and if there aren't online options, how have others gone about pursuing these?). I have been working in the P & C insurance industry for a few years, and want to expand my horizons and knowledge. I also would welcome any personal experiences you have about either of these credentials, and ways to become more effective in the Property & Casualty arena. Insurance for a Small Hispanic Church in Kansas City MO A pastor of a very small church (hispanics - spanish speaking) contacted my agency asking for coverage for his church. He said, it is a very small church with only one main hall and less than 100 members. They have never had any insurance in the past. Their is no urgency. He just wanted to know his options. He just wanted to know if God forbid if any thing happens to the people.. Let us know what kind of coverage is available. What all is possible.

Hi all! We are having a couple of issues with our personal lines markets in NY & NJ. 1. Monoline homes: Most carriers we write with will not write the Home without the Auto. This is a bigger problem in NJ than in NY, but still a hurdle we need to overcome in both states when we have to compete against Geico's auto pricing. Who are you all placing your monoline homes with? 2. High Valued Homes: Most of our carriers will not write a home with a dwelling limit higher than $1.2M and most high value home carriers want homes starting around $2M. Chubb can write the homes in between, however their pricing is much higher than the direct writers we come up against. Where are you all placing these homes? 3. Marketing: What type of marketing do you all do? We have a great website and Facebook page, however we do not see a lot of new business come our way via these channels. Have you had success with local commercials, mailings, diner placemat advertising, etc.? I look forward to reading all of your comments.
