Topic - Looking for a GA that can handle hard to place risks...
https://completemarkets.com/Pages/Discussion/dtopic/1caANAmz-UqJYqO8ASgAsw/Looking-for-a-GA-that-can-handle-hard-to-place-risks/
I've been in the insurance industry nearly 12 years, and I've become the guy that gets the hard to place referrals. On a daily basis I work with businesses that generally do not fit with the standard market. Here are some examples of recent accounts: - FMX (motocross) jump shows - They show up to any event, weather it be a track, beach, or parking lot, and perform flips and tricks as an opening act to a main event. (still considering new markets for this as they require monthly special event policies). - Inventory/Contents companies - They require Inland Marine for contents of others, as well as GL/EPL/Pollution Liability/Work Comp. They own a warehouse where contents of others and BPP is stored. The majority of work performed is taking inventory at residential and business properties, and incidentally will remove undamaged PP for temporary storage. Sometimes the inventory is completed in locations with exposure to asbestos; which they are fully licensed and trained to do so while wearing proper gear. - Textile/Home Goods Sales - They have two warehouses; one for storage, one for packaging/shipping. All sales are to wholesale and public via the web. - Swim Instructors - Teaches children aged 3-18 to swim in public and school pools. Package required. - Commercial Production Companies - Requiring coverage for props/sets/wardrobe, GL, hired auto, work comp, all on short term basis. - High Ex Mod/Large premium Work Comp risks. - Several clients from Machine Shops, Body Shops, Warehouses, Janitorial, with 500k - 3mil payroll with either lapses in coverage, large recent claims, or high ex-mods. Needing a market for the Work Comp - NO PEO! These are just a few examples of accounts within the last 30 days. I currently work with too many GA's, most of which do not have a market for a few of these. I'd like to find someone to work with that is quick on response, follows up, has reasonable fees, and has a broad range of market access. Please only reply to this is you are serious about being able to help. Thanks in advance. Regards, John H Crawley

I am currently working with a prospect on a policy that would provide him coverage for liability, and assault & battery. He is a DJ and performs at nightclubs and travels to different states - NV, UT, CO, AZ. I need a market that can write this risk in multiple states.

Topic - Security guard for bar/nightclubs
https://completemarkets.com/Pages/Discussion/dtopic/zUN3LMCYJkatgqf9AJp2EQ/Security-guard-for-bar-nightclubs/
Looking for all lines coverage for security guard firm that provides services for bars and nightclubs in PA. 70% of business is basic grounds security services for commercial properties, but has a bar contract for door/bouncer services( non armed) and does the occasional unarmed door service for restaurants/bars for special events( ie pay per view boxing/UFC fights). Also does a very small amount of armored service for small local festivals and fairs (alongside money holders) and small event bodyguard for low profile individuals.

Topic - Need market for a bed and breakfast (retreat center) serving fitness & weight loss clients
https://completemarkets.com/Pages/Discussion/dtopic/1O8pkG50_0m9UKdOAPUvvA/Need-market-for-a-bed-and-breakfast-retreat-center-serving-fitness-amp-weight-loss-clients/
Hello. I am looking for a carrier that would have an appetite for property & GL coverage for a retreat center that specializes in fitness & weight loss. Ever see the show "Biggest Losers". Well...this is kind of like that but the clients pay to come stay for a week or so where they go through a training. The way I see it, there are two components. One is to make sure that the property is properly insured. Second, need to make sure the owner of the business can get GL/PL coverage for her operations. The insured has been turned down by Markel & K&K already. Not sure what other markets to approach. Very interesting risk....kind of like a health club/hotel/retreat center. Challenging deal... Thanks for your thoughts on this one.

Topic - wc hard to place
https://completemarkets.com/Pages/Discussion/dtopic/5U_V-8hpNkScPKy_AL97bg/wc-hard-to-place/
Have a new venture that at this point is only hiring independent contractors(1099'ers) as sales reps. Discovery, development, distribution and manufacture of a portfolio of innovative in vitro diagnostic rapid tests kits is the description on the website. On top of that these sales reps will be in multiple states, at least 7 for now and more down the road. The attorney for the client is saying they need to have WC on these ind contractors. I'm having a hard time, better yet no luck finding any company to will even consider this. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I should have said they will have employees, (w-2) down the road in the fall

Topic - What Has the Web Become?!?!
https://completemarkets.com/Pages/Discussion/dtopic/eA1cs2J2PUGwu6BHAK-VzQ/What-Has-the-Web-Become/
As much as you might fight this fact, social media is rapidly becoming what the web is going to be. Think about it for a second. Those of you who have a facebook account will learn all about what your friends are listening to, what movies they like, what resturant they are eating at, what entertainment they are partking in, and most of all where you can access information to ALL of those. Your friends are marketing for those products to you! As a consumer are you more apt to purchase something your friend loves or something you've watched on TV? We don't trust all those paid actors promising us that THEIR product is the one to purchase, but we DO trust our friend's and family's opinins. What better way to market to potential customer than allowing your current customers to boast about YOUR product!! No matter what product or service you offer getting your custromers to market your product will increase your chance of gaining new clients. The question today...How the heck do you do this?!?!?
