Hello, I have a book of business in a specific industry segment I am looking to buy from my current agency. Annual premium of the book is $2 million, with 98% being commercial, and 2% personal lines. Gross annual revenue is $223,000. Knowing that no one else in the agency could nor would service this sector as I do from a knowledge of the market, travel time(as accounts are all over the country), and always being "the face of the franchise" to my customers, can anyone provide what you would think would be fair to offer to buy my book out from current agency? With how much down and amount of time to pay off remainder? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for any insight and input you can provide....

Hello. I am looking for a carrier that would have an appetite for property & GL coverage for a retreat center that specializes in fitness & weight loss. Ever see the show "Biggest Losers". Well...this is kind of like that but the clients pay to come stay for a week or so where they go through a training. The way I see it, there are two components. One is to make sure that the property is properly insured. Second, need to make sure the owner of the business can get GL/PL coverage for her operations. The insured has been turned down by Markel & K&K already. Not sure what other markets to approach. Very interesting risk....kind of like a health club/hotel/retreat center. Challenging deal... Hello Peers I have a risk with 34 autos. Progressive is getting off the risk due because they have more than 20 units in their fleet plus. Their loss history is not good over the last five years at $250k. Expiring premium is $85k. Scottsdale has not yet told us if they are quoting.
