International Special Risks (ISR) offers a number of programs for the small to mid-market insured with both State Act Workers' Compensation and Longshore Harbor Workers Act (USL&H) exposures.
Customer Profile
Insured's with annual State Act Workers' Compensation +USLH premiums of $10,000 to $150,000, with no minimum USLH % requirement

New/Start Up operations acceptable with approved owner credentials

Wide appetite of acceptable businesses, including (but not limited to):
  • Marine Construction
  • Ship Building / Repair / Maintenance
  • Maritime Equipment Repair / Service /Sales / Maintenance
  • Marine Terminals
  • Stevedoring Operations
  • Offshore Oil and Gas Operators
  • Government Contractors
  • Artisan Contractors with USLH Exposures
 Program Highlights
State Act & USLH Act may be combined onto one policy form

"If Any" USLH and MEL coverage available

Available to write in all states - with stand alone USLH available in most monopolistic states

Guaranteed Cost Plans with options for less sensistive plans also available - subject to specific underwriting criteria

Direct bill payment plans and direct bill reporting options available

Additional coverages available upon request - OCSLA, Blanket Waiver of Subrogation, Blanket Alternative Employer, etc.
Submission Requirements
Completed and signed ACORD applications

Currently valued Loss Runs for the last 3 years - start ups or businesses without coverage may require a signed loss summary and owners resume

Current NCCI Experience Modification Worksheet - if applicable

Supplemental ISR Maritime USLH and MEL Application		 Program Security
Our partner carriers are writing in all 50 states and consistently earn A or better ratings for insurer financial strength awarded by the principal rating services

Additional carriers available for businesses with written premiums in excess of $100,000
