Hi everyone, I am looking for a market to place a workers comp risk, it is an interior residential renovation company, one owner excluded, one full time employee at $29k a year, $300,000 in revenue and 70k in subcontracted work. There is a lapse in the current coverage, customer doesn't even know who his previous carriers were except the last one. This is a South Florida risk.

Hi John,

Thank you for using CompleteMarkets!

Our FindIt Market search is a valuable tool that enables you to search by market and state to find companies that can help you write this risk.

I was not able to find a specific Renovation Workers Compensation. I have completed a search for companies that provide Contractors Workers Compensation in Florida, here is a link to the search results.

Thank you!

Hi John, You will need prior loss history from the previous carrier. To find out who the insured's previous carrier click on the following website and scroll to bottom and click "workers comp coverage search". Type in the insured's name or fein number, if he had prior coverage the information will be listed. www.myfloridacfo.com Once you have the info you go to www.GoWorkComp.com and request a quote. If you more questions regarding workers comp in Florida please call me at 800-976-7550

Yes, you can obtain the mod by going to www.ncci.com I think the cost is under $10 for just the current mod and if you want to order the mod worksheet you need a letter signed by the insured and I believe the cost is $25 or $35. If you need the template letter for insured to sign let me and I will email it to you.

John, I almost forgot, if the insureds premium is under $10k his mod will be 1.00, from what you mentioned early in this thread there is only 1 employee. Mods are not promulgated unless the premium exceeds $10k per year.

John,
If this client has not been placed yet, we work with a few PEO's that take these kind of single man companies. You can email me at [email protected] with any questions.
