I'm looking for a California market, preferably admitted, for a heavy truck service and repair shop BOP. I've received several declines as the insured's website shows they work on chipper's, shredders, cranes and lifts, bucket trucks and refrigeration units; however incidental.

If anyone knows of a place that can handle it, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

A BOP!!! Really!!! Good luck on that. Somebody out there will do maybe a package but I would not think a BOP. We have one in Tx placed with a regional carrier and a regional carrier in your area would be your best bet. The incidental stuff you mention will runoff most carriers our only incidental exposure involves fork-lifts. Zurich could be your competition but they use direct agents and use a managing general agency named Arrowhead.

You're not kidding. I'm finding it nearly impossible to find a BOP on this. We've had it in an admitted BOP for several years, but they got out of the market. I did reach out to Arrowhead per your recommendation, but like you said, it's on a referral basis only. If I don't come up with anything that's what I'll have to do. Thanks for the feedback.

I can't imagine a bop working on this type of an account. Not sure but I would try Harco. I have to get to them through a broker. In Ohio it's National Truck Underwriting Managers. Not sure about California. Another broker I would try is Gresham & Associates. Amwins bought them but they still operate as Gresham & Associates. Good luck.
