Hello
I have recently been given a case to write over $140,000 in personal jewelry. I am looking for some feedback on JIBNA , there are not any reviews to be seen on the internet. Is Chubb an eligible company to write this with or do they require a Homeowners exceeding $2,000,000 , or so I have heard ??

I am not familiar with the dwelling limit requirement in your state, but in some states the requirement is just $500,000. Chubb is more after a certain type of client, and can sometimes overlook the dwelling value requirement for the right risk. Their jewelry form is great. I would recommend at least giving them a shot - worst case scenario is you wasted a couple of minutes on the phone with an underwriter. Other options are ACE, AIG, and Pure. Again - I am not familiar with the availability in your marketplace, but in other states these carriers do well with the jewelry schedules with the HO policy.

JIBNA claims service has been subpar according to our clients with claims. Chubb normally requires the HO and Auto policy. For our pieces and collections over <g class="gr_ gr_153 gr-alert gr_gramm undefined Punctuation only-ins replaceWithoutSep" id="153" data-gr-id="153">$50,000</g> we have found the best marketplace to be Lexington for pricing, service on claims, and overall form. Do yourself a favor and just get with your surplus lines broker that has <g class="gr_ gr_415 gr-alert gr_gramm undefined Grammar only-ins doubleReplace replaceWithoutSep" id="415" data-gr-id="415">appt</g> to Lexington or call Atlantic Special Lines as they have <g class="gr_ gr_416 gr-alert gr_gramm undefined Grammar only-ins doubleReplace replaceWithoutSep" id="416" data-gr-id="416">good</g> working relationship and are quick with the turnaround. Your pricing will be good, actually better in almost every case with them versus JIBNA. JIBNA is a fair market for pieces under 10k etc but those aren't always profitable for an agency but are more of a 'favor' policy due to the very limited earnings. Well, that's my 2 cents as an agency owner

It should say collections over 50 thousand we find Lexington the best market. Not sure why these errors are showing in the response.

Chubb will not write the jewelry schedule monoline. They will however write it, if you combine it with a home. The house does not have to be $2M.

Hello Moshe,

I am happy to see our community jumping in to help you with this. I also did a FindIt search and found a few companies who insure personal articles including jewelry.

Click here to submit to all of them.

Greg we are looking into the errors in your reply.
