For Independent Agents only. Need suggestions on a company to appoint with that has a good homeowners product at a reasonable price. Have tried ASI, some MGA's who write through Safeco and Chub, and American Modern, all are 2-3x higher than the current market.

Who's the incumbent carrier? Most of the markets have been taking rate and it's only a matter of time before rates across all carriers start to increase. Only other suggestion would be to check out Travelers, they seem to have aggressive rates if you fit within their small appetite much like MetLife.

We run bigfoot.insure and have then pen on a CA homeowner program (E&S) as well as a Western States program (E&S). We do have some admitted carriers as well. So far we're sitting at a 43% bind ratio and pricing has been really good. We can do Vacant, Short term rental, Annual rental, primary, secondary, Owner occupied with rental. In house to $1M coverage A in CA, 750k in All other western states, $2M total TIV

Bigfoot is a solid product, I agree with Martin.
Have you tried Travelers. Possibly through OLI?

Metlife is also a consideration.
