The position is responsible for managing various components of the investment accounting department for Athene Holding. The role will focus primarily on securities and derivative accounting and reporting for the company’s insurance subsidiaries. Responsibilities include reporting of quarterly and monthly investment results, issues, and trends to senior management. The role includes providing analysis of financial results on both a Statutory and US GAAP basis.

-Preparation and distribution of parent company financial reporting packages including quarterly and annual Actual and Forecast results, footnotes, and related planning, documentation and analysis. -Compilation of all internal management financial statement reports and related materials for use in reporting to our executive management leadership team, board of directors, audit committee, rating agencies DOI and other external parties. -Preparation of the financial statement analytics provided to Munich Re and internal management, including compilation of data and written materials used for both internal and external financial reporting and analysis, including the Early Indicator Report, Highlights Memo, QAS Sheets, Deviation Comments, the Quarterly Financial Business Report (QFBR) and the CFO Agenda/Memo/Management Summary.

Utilizes derivative expertise by providing counselling on accounting issues. Provides reporting of quarterly and monthly investment results, issues, and trends to the senior management.

Responsible for supporting the investment accounting and reporting on a Statutory and US GAAP basis for Athene USA consolidated $60+ billion investment portfolio. Specific focus on alternative investments including private equity funds, hedge funds, credit funds and other partnership interest. Provide daily review of portfolio activity and perform related posting of activity to the PAM investment accounting package. Prepare Statutory Schedule BA and related reporting. Prepare consolidated US GAAP reporting related to alternative investments.Maintain general ledger reconciliations and related performance analysis related to alternative investments. Review new fund investments for proper categorization and accounting treatment. Support the financial analysis of operating results, balance sheets, and other key performance indicators related to annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and analysis against actual results. Support internal and external audit request.

Reporting to the SVP and CFO of AIG Group Retirement and Fixed Annuity (GR & FA), this role will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, analysis and reporting. The role will have significant interaction with AIG L&R Senior Leadership and drive the development of a robust expense analytics and develop robust expense analysis and comparison and support to product pricing.
