Kaigler & Company provides a market for any long-term care provider: fully-skilled, intermediate, assisted living, or residential. They specialize in facilities that are being non-renewed, cancelled, or have carriers leaving their states.

The first primary facility is on a claims-made basis only, on a rather restricted form. This offers lower limits of $250,000/$1,000,000 through $1,000,000/$2,000,000. This is a good facility for a home that’s having budget problems or currently operating without insurance. Minimum premium is $12,500.

 

The second facility is for a nursing home that doesn’t have skilled-care beds. This type of home will have assisted living residents and a lower than full-skilled level of nursing care available to residents.

 

The third facility is "The Home Town Home" program. It’s for local homes that are owner-operated (no management companies) and have no more than two locations.
