I have a new venture interstate hotshot risk that needs commercial auto, cargo, and GL. I've quoted through Progressive and they're insanely high for this risk, still waiting to hear back from National Indemnity but I'm wondering if there are any other markets I can approach.

Do you have access to NSurance Outlets? They have multiple markets for hotshot accounts if you have 3+ year experience with favorable loss run.
Othewise, the 2 markets you mentioned are the choices.
Should you find something favorable let us know.

Try USG or Zurich Program.com. If it's an owner operator NITC can do it. NiCO will be expensive to.

Thanks for the suggestions, I forgot to mention that this risk is in New Mexico which also presents it's own challenge.

Prime will accept hotshots, but they are quite difficult to get anything done with.

Hi Matthew,

Thank you for using CompleteMarkets!

I did a market search for New Mexico and was able to find that MAXIMUM has a market for this risk. They can provide Auto, Cargo and General Liability. They have a broad appetite for the Transportation industry so I don't think that the "hotshots" will be a problem for them.

They work with a number of A rated carriers and have various commission levels. Please click here to send them an email and be sure to include any apps/accords that you have so it will help the process go faster.

Please let me know if you have any questions or if there is anything I can do to help!

Hi Ashley,

I've already approached Maximum and they unfortunately don't have a market for this risk.

Did you try NITC yet or Zurich?

NITC doesn't write in NM, haven't tried Zurich yet. Do you know of any MGA's that write Zurich products?

Why use a MGA do it yourself. Go to www.zurichprograms.com and register and do it yourself. You get all the commission and you control.
