Early Intervention Development Programs are a core class in AFC Insurance Inc.'s Health & Human Services program. This program is designed to meet the unique liability and property needs of professional Early Intervention Development Programs — child care and developmental support providers that help children build motor and cognitive skills. Review the eligible classes, coverages, and program details below to see how AFC Insurance Inc. can help you place this business. Eligible List of Classes: Home & Community Based Services, Motor and Cognitive Skills Overview of the Program from AFC Insurance Inc. AFC Insurance Inc. offers a targeted program for agents placing Early Intervention Development Programs. As a program administrator, AFC works with multiple carrier markets (varies by account) to provide flexible package and standalone solutions tailored to the exposures of early childhood development and home- or community-based therapy programs. This program is intended for professional providers that deliver supervised developmental services to children and that need combined general liability, professional liability and optional property/auto protection. Ideal Accounts and Appetite Small to mid-sized early intervention centers and child development programs Home & community based service providers offering motor and cognitive skills therapy Programs that use volunteers or independent contractors (endorsement options available) Organizations seeking tailored liability programs with optional key employee replacement and abuse & molestation coverages Accounts that typically do NOT fit: large institutional providers with high-severity loss histories, programs with unlicensed or unmanaged clinical operations, or operations with complex transportation fleets (auto coverage has restrictions). Final appetite is carrier-dependent. Coverage Highlights and Advantages Package policies combining General & Professional Liability to address both general liability and allegations arising from professional services. Coverage endorsements and enhancements, including Volunteers & Independent Contractors as Insureds — useful for programs that rely on part-time staff or contracted therapists. Optional Key Employee Replacement Endorsement to help cover temporary staffing costs after a covered loss to a key staff member. Optional Extended Coverage Endorsement with Blanket Additional Insured available for contracts and facility relationships. Umbrella/excess capacity and Property coverage where exposures warrant it; Auto coverage available with some restrictions. Abuse & Molestation coverage available as an option — important for child-focused programs. Underwriting Notes and Minimum Premiums Underwriting is completed by AFC Insurance Inc. in coordination with carrier partners. Carriers and terms vary by state and account characteristics. Typical considerations include program size, staff qualifications and training, screening and hiring practices for employees and volunteers, background checks, client-to-staff ratios, facility safety, and any transportation exposures. Minimum premiums vary by carrier and state. Provide complete submissions (ACORD applications, prior loss runs, staff/volunteer screening practices, sample client agreements) to obtain accurate quotes and to identify available endorsements. Territories and Availability This program is available in most states listed: AL, AZ, AR, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MS, MO, MT, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, DC, WV, WI, WY. Admitted status and carrier availability vary by state and by carrier; AFC places business with admitted and non-admitted markets depending on the account and jurisdiction. Why Work With AFC Insurance Inc. on Early Intervention Development Programs AFC acts as a program administrator with experience packaging liability and ancillary coverages for child-focused health & human services classes. Access to multiple carrier markets and flexible endorsements helps tailor policies to operational realities (volunteers, independent contractors, key staff roles). Practical guidance to help you assemble a full submission and identify appropriate risk management items that improve placement prospects. Example accounts that fit this program You have a three-location early intervention program that provides in-home motor skill therapy and wants combined professional and general liability with volunteer coverage — this program can provide tailored endorsements and umbrella options. You represent a small community-based developmental center that needs professional liability, property, and optional key employee coverage while keeping payroll-driven exposures manageable — AFC can coordinate carrier options to match the risk profile. Coverages Available Package, General & Professional Liability, Coverage Endorsement & Enhancements including Volunteers & Independent Contractors as Insureds, Optional Key Employee Replacement Endorsement, Optional Extended Coverage Endorsement with Blanket Additional Insured, Umbrella, Property, Auto (some restrictions may apply) and Abuse & Molestation. Program Contact and Submission Tips For best results, submit a completed application, current loss runs (5 years preferred), descriptions of programs and services, staff qualifications and screening protocols, and details on any transportation or residential services. AFC Insurance Inc. underwriters evaluate each account and will identify carrier appetite and minimum premiums during the quote process. Key strengths include: Program design and underwriting structures tailored to affinity and association-based business. Ability to assemble layered capacity, including reinsurance relationships to support larger or aggregated books. Flexibility to create binding authority, master policies, or papering structures that support book aggregation and delegated distribution. Expertise in market placement for unique or non-standard risks that need creative underwriting solutions. Underwriting notes and submission guidance Appetite is program-specific but generally favors group-based or program-style placements where underwriting guidelines, membership/enrollment controls, and loss control protocols can be applied. Typical items underwriters will request include: Program summary and business model (enrollment, premium flow, eligibility rules) Recent loss information or loss runs where available Copies of any membership or contractual agreements tied to the program Fee schedules, aggregation thresholds, and reinsurance structures if already in place Minimum premiums and attachment points vary by product and carrier; specific thresholds are established on a program-by-program basis. Territories and admitted status This program is available in the following jurisdictions: AL, AK, AZ, AR, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MS, MO, MT, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, DC, WV, WI, WY. Citadel can advise on book-aggregation strategies and place combined coverage with appropriate underwriting controls. Frequently Asked Questions What types of accounts are a good fit for Citadel’s program development services? The best fits are group- or program-style opportunities: associations, affinity groups, book-aggregation arrangements, risk purchasing groups, and other situations where unified underwriting rules, membership controls, or pooled premium flow make a program more marketable. Admitted options may be possible with specific carriers on a program-by-program basis; discuss the target state and product to determine availability. What do carriers typically require on submissions?Underwriters will expect a clear program summary, eligibility and enrollment procedures, loss history if available, and any existing reinsurance or aggregation terms. If you hired Steve Jobs to help you develop a Sales Culture, what would he do? First, he'd analyze the problem: 1. Too many producers aren't motivated, aren't prospecting, aren't selling. 2. Prospect management is weak, we don't know what people are working on, can't really project pipeline. 3. Producers are effectively differentiating themselves, too much 'me too' stuff like "better people, better service, better carrier relationships". 4. Sales Meetings are virtual liars clubs, not getting deep enough on an account to know if there is a strategy or not. Build a relationship, better price and better coverage is not a strategy. 5. Competitive information, it's here, you just can't find it. "we have 5-10 competitors, but none of their proposals at hand, no list of their producers, no personal characteristics, we don't know who we beat and who beats us." 6. And, when a competitor agency get's bought, we don't have an attack list. When a competitor agent get's fired or retires, we don't have an attack list. 7. We talk referrals, but can't back it up with a system. Everyone of our producers have at least 10-20 clients that would introduce them, and we don't have the tools to lead them or manage them. 8. We are good at cross-selling and could be a lot better. It's takes the IT department to run me a report on cross-sell opportunities, and by the time I get it, it's out dated. 9. Our new producer pipeline is empty. We are not recruiting, we need to improve our hiring process, our onboarding process, and we need to set high expectations and train and mentor our new producers to get there fast. 10. We don't have a culture of accountability, as a result, 20% of our producers produce, and 80% barely do. If that sounds anything like your agency and you have a desire to change it, click here: www.thewedge.net/iwin-growth-system/
