CREATE A ‘ONE-PAGE BRANDING SHEET’ TO ACQUIRE MORE REFERRALS
by Maribeth Kusmeski
A one-page brand overview can be incredibly helpful in guiding potential referral sources to provide an effective description of what you do It will also help your staff provide a consistent description of the company. You can create your “Branding One Sheet” quickly. It should not be a detailed, wordy brochure – just a plain, to the point, easily digestible, and memorable marketing piece Your Sheet should include five sections:
- What makes you different? “Here’s what we do that’s unique (it might well be you and your team that make you stand out).
- A one-sentence firm description or tagline. “We’re in business to…” (a clear, declarative sentence that your referrer will remember).
- Your ideal client. “Our best clients are those who…
- Your key area(s) of expertise. “We help our clients meet these needs …”
- Your firm in depth. “To find out more about our company, our services, and our people, check us out at … (list your Web address and other social media sites).
I’ve seen a number of firms use their sheet as a powerful tool to direct people to their online presence and acquire more referrals – something we could all use these days!
