Contractors Insurance — BSR Insurance
BSR Insurance offers a Contractors Insurance program designed for independent agents and brokers who need flexible, high-capacity coverage for commercial, industrial, and incidental residential construction and artisan contractors. As a General Agency and Excess & Surplus Lines Broker, BSR places coverage with Liberty International Underwriters to handle complex or non-standard contractor risks that may not fit standard admitted markets.
Overview of the Program

It supports both residential and commercial construction exposures and is built to handle accounts with robust receipts (up to $35 million) and varied operations across more than 200 eligible classes.

Underwriting Notes and Minimum Premium
Underwriting is done through BSR Insurance as an E&S wholesaler, with placements through Liberty International Underwriters. Minimum premiums start at $500. While the program is flexible, accounts are evaluated on operations, safety controls, loss history, and contract language. Typical factors that may affect acceptability include high-hazard operations outside the program’s class appetite and operations with insufficient risk controls.
