Take a plain telephone-message note, check the 'please call' box, write a brief message, and send it to 100 P/C insureds for whom you don't yet write any life business. Include your business card and nothing else.
You can do the same for 100 P/C prospects or other prospects.
Optional: Send a message to 100life clients. Tabulate the results. You should be pleasantly surprised.
Sample messages:
- 'Time for your life and health insurance review.'
- 'News about your life insurance.'
- 'Please make appointment to review life insurance.'
- 'Time to update life insurance dividends.'
- 'Rates reduced on life insurance.'
- 'News about medical insurance.'
- 'News about long-term care insurance.'
- 'News about disability coverage.'
- 'News about mortgage insurance.'
- 'News about two people on one life policy.'
The list is endless. You can tie the message to a current news feature in your community; for example, if recent headlines bemoan a high unemployment rate, you could stress savings:
- 'Ways to reduce life insurance premiums.'
If there's good news for the prospect/client, send a message:
- 'About your promotion.'
- 'About your new car.'
Each message could lead into an overall review of financial obligations and resources, a Social Security status check, and a life policy review.
